SEO means helping people find your lemonade stand, instead of hoping they wander past it.
Two lemonade stands. Same lemonade. Same price. Same cups.
One of them is on the busy corner with a big sign that says LEMONADE. One of them is behind the house, with no sign, and the gate is closed.
Which one sells more?
Nothing about the lemonade is different. The only difference is that people can find one of them. Making yourself easy to find is a job all by itself, and it is a job you have to do on purpose.
Color this: color the busy corner. Draw the sign. Then draw an arrow from the sidewalk to the stand so nobody gets lost.

The adult version adds mechanics that do not matter at this age: keywords, structure, links, technical health. The concept underneath does not change. You are being chosen from a list, and you are competing with everybody else who wants the same thirsty person. A child who understands the two stands understands the entire premise.
